Gayendri Liyanasuriya founder of Gaya By Gayendri. Graduated with Honors from Mod ‘Art International, Paris in 2021. She has worked as an intern with a clothing brand where she gained hands-on experience in many areas of the business. At the age of 16 she had the urge to own a business and support the needy, 19+ was a turning point for her life, since she comes from a very creative background which supported her well to pursue her dreams come true, to become a great entrepreneur. She started up her own company and spread her version of helping others to pursue their dreams and aspirations; she supports mostly women who work from home while attending to their daily chores. Her manufacturing process is outsourced to them. They are skilled workers with state-of-the-art machinery to support the procedure. Blessed with a team of talented, skilled experts who are passionate about the process, starting from designing to packaging. Creating high-end clothing with timeless trends, by targeting to transform unusual combinations experimenting on design elements, and focusing on sustainable fashion to bring out the best to the wearer, with a unique touch of ethnicity.

She appears in pop-up markets, tourist attractive locations in and around Colombo and suburbs during this period of explosive growth, expanding from clothes to handmade jewelry, hair accessories & draw string pouches from recycled wood and fabric remnants from the workshop are transformed as diffusion lines with many possibilities which can be turn in to economic and social opportunities. Her dream expanded and the company’s mission making awareness among people to wear what and when depend upon their activities, to be innovative and to think creative in every move. Gayendri has a deep love for art, music, ballet and she is someone who loves to mingle with people and nature and values all that she inspires blended with innate flair, to bring out the phrase she trusts – “Love your beauty”
